A clear, enlightening and useful text.

This book is long overdue and very welcome. As a practicing psychiatrist, psychotherapist and sometime clinical philosopher I appreciated Dr. Stein's clear cut elaboration and discussion of the underlying philosophical questions prompted by the existence of, and frequent use of, psychotropic agents of all kinds.
